A small injustice

Recently I've turned eighteen and now I wish to register to vote so I can help decide who becomes president in 2012. For the last year my political party choice was clear, Republican, known as the GOP. I've always been more Republican minded, I believe the most effective economy and society comes from one with the least government interference. Lately though I've had some serious doubts over joining the GOP as they have lacked many things following their majority takeover in the house. It seems they lack the deceisevness and the ability to come to terms with Democrats to make any types of changes, but this isn't that huge of a problem, as this issue as been plagueing congress for decades, but the real issue to me is the Republican's delaying of the making of a bill that would stop congress members from useing insider tradeing. This quite frankly disgusts me, it seems this people who are taking advantage of their appointed positions by having an unfair advantage over everyone else. This bill has been proposed for over six years so this show more than ever that with one hand congress scratches the back of their constituents and with the other their own back. We can only hope that someday a congress will exisit that has the sole intrest of the people at heart, but for now, we can only try to make our voices heard about this small but terrifying injustices.

  1. I agree Mike, but just remember that it is a two way street, democrates do the same thing. But I do agree, both Democrates and Republicans use us the people to get what they want, then do nothing for us in return.
