Response to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article: GOP candidates storm the Granite State

By the looks of it the statictics show that Romney will just smash through the rest of the Republican cacaus with a battering ram, where he will secure close victories, but victories non-theless. To the public this news has been long coming, as every candidate with a legitamite challenge to Romeny has experienced crushing deafeat via Cain and Gingrich, seemingly none can match the vast resources and political experience that Romeny posesses, none except Jon Huntsman. Although Huntsman appears to be at the back of the race at the moment, he certainly has the experience, ambassodor of China, govenor of Utah and business man makes him appear the perfect Republican, but he has gained little support or recognition so far in the race, but Cacuses have a tendecy to upset at times.

Response to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article: Obama Unveiling Defense Strategy, Military Cuts.

Although these budget cuts may be alarming to some I agree with this decision, but I have one exception. I believe that the U.S. should heavily increase its military research while simultaneously reducing its military spending. I'm not saying to spend all the money that is being cut on military research, but to take a reasonable portion and devote it to technological updates for our military. It seems in this modern age that to have the edge on the battlefield you don't necessarily have to have a numerical advantage, but you must have superior technology. A new approach to conventional military thinking and technology will be needed, but the results could be substantial if the research is led by the right person, with today's technology we haven't even begun to utilize what potential technologies we could produce that could take troops out of harms way and give the U.S. an edge on the battlefield that would be even greater than its been historically, the next era of modern warfare is right around the corner if our government takes the initiative.
